Ouchy, ow-ow!

Ow! My tummy is all hurty.

Sometimes when I go to the vet I have lots of fun, and sometimes when I go to the vet I come back with an ouchy-tummy. This is the third time. The first time was when I had The Operation, and the second time was a couple of weeks ago, when it turned out that my internal stitches from The Operation had become infected (apparently it takes months and months for the internal stitches to dissolve).

Anyway, once I finished the cheese tablets with pink tabletty insides, and then the yucky drops in my mouth followed by a cheese chaser, the vet discovered I had a thing called a hernia. That's where a bit of my muscles didn't heal together properly after The Operation, so I had a kind of hole in my tummy.

So last week I went back to the vet and came home with another hurty tummy, but not as many stitches as last time. My human has strict instructions not to let me do anything for two weeks (haha!, let's see how she goes with that!), so hopefully it will all be good.

I was a very sorry little puppy for a few days, but now I'm back to being nutty because of not going for long walks at the moment, and my human has to stop me from jumping up all over the place - I can't wait to get my stitches out so I can show my new tummy to all my friends!

Oh Sasha - you are such a brave and uncomplaining little pup, our admiration grows daily! Our human sucked in her breath when she read the bit about your human trying to stop you from leaping around - he he he! Schanuzers were born to immitate pogo-sticks and you can't stop nature....! We hope you heal soon and we send healing snuggle-vibes your way! Tail wags - JD and Max.

PS - it's Scooby and Lady's wedding on Sunday - hopefully that'll cheer you up!

Oh Sasha, you poor thing!! How unlucky! I also had to go back to the vets after my Operation because I was naughty and ran around and burst my stitches open! But I did not get a 3rd thing like you... :(

Am keeping all paws crossed that you get better soon -

Hi again, Sasha - thanks for your comment on my clicker training post. My next post on clicker training will just be basic tricks, for the pups that are still new to clicker training - but I'm planning to do a whole series of posts after that with lessons on different tricks so maybe you'll be able to pick up some ideas from those!

And by the way - did you see my post a while ago on the "marching legs" trick? Coz if you can shake already and like to use your paw, you'll probably pick up that trick really quickly and it looks really cute - like you're marching in time with your human!
Here is the post:

Happy training! (and hope you're feeling better!)

Hi Sasha,

Sounds like you're going GREAT with the marching legs trick!! I'm sure you will master it in no time...you little dogs are always much smarter and quicker than us big dopey ones! Hee! hee!

Once you've learnt the trick, you must post a video to show us! A few other doggies, like Mango the Mastiff, Rufus & Indie and Pu the Golden Retriever have all tried my lesson and then posted a video of their performance...so cool! :-)

ps. hee! hee! I had to laugh at you stealing the clicker! Maybe you were trying to click yourself?!
